nowadays, it seems that Cebu is flooding with lesbians, and gays.
And what’s good with it is that, people (specifically the conservative ones)
are somehow dealing with it. status of a person doesn’t matter, anyway.

Yes, there are a lot of factors why women become or identify as lesbians. It can be because of the genes, the environment or personal history, or a mix of all three. But the important thing is, being a lesbian should be a *choice*, so we can be proud of our gender identity.

Please refrain from calling lesbians 3rd sex. It’s a derogatory term. When you say 3rd sex, you admit to having a hierarchy of sexes, that someone else is above lesbians, (the 1st and 2nd sexes), and lesbians come only at third. But that isn’t true, right?

Also, I just want to add that in my experience and from what I’ve seen, there are lesbians who do not want to identify to any of these classifications. As the advocacy goes, the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community are proud of *diversity*, and some do not want to be labeled and subscribe to labels. But of course, it’s their choice.
