Let us embrace once again the Cebu Sinulog 2010 – the country’s largest, most expansive and most awaited festival.

This is the 30th year of Cebu’s Sinulog and the organizers call it the biggest Sinulog of all time yet! And because 2010 is an election year, we can expect a lot of politicians from all over the country with their very own contingents. I’m so excited! Viva Pit Senyor!

Aside from the main spectacle which is the Sinulog Grand parade, there are also other activities lined up by the Cebu City Government and the Sinulog Foundation until the grand highlights of the festival from January 9-18, 2010.

Can’t wait for the Cebu Sinulog 2010. I consider myself a Cebulog(Cebu-Sinulog) freak and this is the event I am longing for every year… hehe.

And by the way, for those who still doesn’t know “WHEN” the Sinulog 2010 takes place, it happens every 3rd Sunday of the January.

In my own opinion, the best and most wonderful valentine’s gift for 2010 that you could give to your GF would be your sincere love to him/her. However, sometimes, you really need to give some material things in order to create a memorable moments in your life.

This is the 2nd time my friend took the examination for DUBAI Aluminum (DUBAL) as an Instrumentation Technician. The first DUBAL screening exam took place in Richmond Hotel Cebu and lately in Marriott Hotel Cebu City. Both attempts failed, sob.

He, however, passed on every test but fails on the interview. The same Pakistani guy who interviewed him before. He said that the interviewer was so narrow minded. He doesn’t see people who have the potential and does not give any chance to those who had no current experience about industrial instrumentation – people who handles PLC on a day to day basis. duh?

Anyway, to those who want to pass the DUBAI ALUMINUM EXAM (DUBAL EXAM), here some tips and topics you need to study. The examination were composed of 5 categories for Instrumentation Technician, namely: Instrumentation, Automation, Digital Electronics, Process Control & PLC’s.

Now here are some actual exam leakage for Instrument Technician in DUBAI ALUMINUM (DUBAL Exam Leakage) which took in Marriot Hotel Cebu City. It looks to me that my friend already loose hope about this company for the reason he wants to share his experience. Here it is:

According to him, if you’re an Electronics Technician or Engineer, then you would probably pass the the DUBAL exam hence they are actually basics except for Instrumentation category which focuses more on automation, process control , hydraulics, pneumatics and sensors. Of course, this would be very easy also for those who really work as an Instrument technician.

What about the Interview questions? Hmmm… Don’t worry because if you really had an actual experience in the field of PLC’s (AT PRESENT), then you’re considered hired. If not, then Goodbye! hehe..

However, when I tried the pldtwatchpad on my friend’s PLDT DSL 990 Plan, It doesn’t seem to work. I mean, it just keeps on buffering repeatedly. Does anyone experience this dilemma on a DSL 990 Plan? Does PLDT Watchpad works on a DSL 990 plan too? Or does PLDT Watchpad player has any problems with Vista OS?

Why does people include this JRU scandal in the lists of Pinay scandals where in fact, it is obviously not a Pinay. The 2 lovers involve in the so-called JRU video scandal sounds like a Chinese or Malay.

Yummy, this girl really has a nice front. What do you call that? Cup size of DD.. hmm.. namets!

Am I the only one here who likes HOT Pinay Mom? Or am I just crazy?

Honestly.. I do prefer HOT Mom compared to those single ladies. hehe.. And I am not sure if this is somewhat kind of a personality disorder but I really can’t help myself out falling for hottie pinay mama.

A few people I asked about “why guys like hot mom more than a single ladies ” answered they find it difficult to understand why men love or likes hot mom. Sure they may find vulnerable when it comes to those *ahem* stuff but are these “sex” thing is what guys only after of? sigh..

Well, If I were to be asked.. I like Hot Pinay Mom because they tend understand and has more patience compared to single ladies. The care a lot and loves you a lot. When it comes to bed, you wouldn’t have to teach them what to do (NO!.. ew..ew..) and obviously, they’re really expert in satisfying you. Not to mention the thrills and excitement when you’re seeing each other (haha.. lagot pag nakita sa husband).

This is why guys like hot pinay single moms.. hehe

But NO I am not in favor in destroying a family just for the sake of lust. I am talking here about Single HOT Pinay Moms.

I am trying to view peoples ideas about this. But first and foremost, please don’t argue around here. I mean, we must welcome 3rd community and not to discriminate them. Personally, I don’t believe they choose whom they’re going to be. It’s in the genes, right? Or rather, their environment where they were being raised.

Early childhood sexual abuse is also a BIG factor why pinay or pinoys become lesbians or gay. This is really true because one of my colleagues is a bisexual who confessed everything  about his past childhood abuse done by his uncle. According to him, one time his uncle forced him to play his d*ck and that’s it!. His trauma keeps on popping up into his thoughts and eventually, he became gay.

What more else to those children that were sexually & brutally abused?

Is it fine for you guys/gals when it comes to having friends like them? Or being one of them?

This is really interesting and I want to know more about the Filipino Community’s reaction or point of view about being a lesbian or a gay.

For me, I have a bunch of lesbian friends in Cebu. In fact, I find them very amusing, talented and thoughtful. Sometimes I consider myself to somewhat of this kind.

By the way, I didn’t know there exists a different categories of Lesbians in Cebu, lol:

1. Femme to Femme : Female orientation who is attracted to Female as well – mga girly girly pareho. But these Femmes can also be attracted to Males. which then will be categorised as Bisexuals.
2. Femme and Butch : Female (girly-girly) who is atracted to Female pero Hardcore boyish resemblance.
3. Soft Butch and Femme: In between Femme and a butch who is atracted to a Femme. soft butch can be with a Femme or Butch.
4. Dykes : Hardcore Female Lesbians

Confusing at first, but let’s just say it falls to one effect from a cause.

Please don’t be rude and sarcastic in giving comments and opinions about lesbians & gay here in Cebu or in Philippines. I just want to make an environment or topic that can help others who felt like no one understands them.

Hey, we always hear girls asking “How would they know if a guy is serious with them?” This is a common question to every pinays out there who are about to fall in-love or perhaps, are already in-love, but suppress their feelings because they’re too scared to suffer again from a ruined relationship .

Basically, my question is just the opposite from above. “How would we guys (PINOYs) know if the girl is serious?”

Yeah, I know girls are generaly sincere… well so are we men. But there are always quite some exceptions, right?

How do you know a pinay girl is serious in a relationship?

I must have read somewhere on women’s magazine that sometime women can deal perfectly with their emotions but when they really fall for someone, their pretention wall starts to break.You would know, just by looking straight in their eyes, just by the way their eyes talk even if they say nothing.

Just staring at you, you would know based on how they hold your hand and especially when they start doing silly and corny things which they hate to do before they’re not under the spell of love, yet they still do it. 

So how can you tell if a girl is serious with you? What are the tell-tale signs? Please share because I am deeply confused right now! hehehe

Almost everyday I passed through the oldest street of Cebu – Colon St.  And every time I passed by, I always noticed the tallest building in Colon, the GV Tower Hotel, and wonder my self what Colon looks like on the top view from GV Tower Hotel Cebu branch.

And so I decided to stay 1 night at GV Hotel. Grabbed my Canon SLR and bought a few drinks and food. When I first enter the building, I didn’t noticed any reception area.  Instead, I noticed a small sheet of paper that was glued near the elevator stating “Reception Area @ 7th Floor”. LOL, unique for a hotel. hehe..

When I first spoke to the GV Tower front desk officer, I personally asked for the top-most room, that would be @ 16th floor. And the desk officer was like “What?… a room in the 16th floor?”. She then smiled and murmured to her fellow attendant.

In my thoughts, I asked myself what’s wrong with staying in the top-most room? Suddenly, my mind came up with a supernatural notion like a presence of white lady’s or ghosts in GV Tower Hotel. Or maybe there was an accident that happened on the said floor that the public was not aware of.

Out of the blue, another desk officer asked me what kind of accommodation am I going to avail and how long (geezz.. I just woke up on my day dreaming, haha). And so, I answered her swiftly, fill-up a few information and swipe my Credit card.

“Sir, it’s all set now. Your room number is #1015″ said the front desk officer.

“Why #1015?” I replied. “I am specifically asking for a room on the 16th floor and yet you give me a room on the 10th floor?” I followed up.

“All rooms in the 16th floor are already occupied Sir” she answered.

WTF? I doubt what she just said but what choice do I have. I can’t see their hotel database.

I was a bit diverted though when she mentioned that GV Tower Hotel is currently having a 5th year anniversary promo and they’re giving 50% discounts to all room rates. Cool.. hehe.

By the way, I think they’re doing this yearly so if you’re planning to stay in GV, choose a day in between September to November. They also have a rainy day promo. Wink

When the elevator stopped & opened on the 10th floor, I immediately sense creepiness. The light was dim, silence was everywhere and the cool breeze of air runs through your skin. Now, I am very glad they didn’t gave me a room on the 16th floor. hahaha..

Actually, the CR is very small… and has a very limited space for shower. Not ideal for BIG persons.

Observations and Review inside GV Tower Hotel;

• The aircon can’t cool enough the entire room
• No slippers available
• Very small CR
• Only few TV Channels ( Doesn’t even have HBO Chan.. grr..)

My overall rating for GV Tower Hotel Cebu: Affordable Price but not a very nice place to stay. Will never come back.

Yes, we all passed thru under my grandfather coffin when he was about to be buried and it’s very important that you only passed once. I really don’t know the logical reason behind it because I just followed back then what my older relatives told us.

Culture of Filipinos? Passing under the Coffin..

Could this be one of the cultures of Filipinos? Or Could it be a Chinese belief?  (My grandfather was a half Chinese btw) I asked my mother about it and she said “We do that because it’s a sign of respect to the dead and it shows that we all asked forgiveness to him so he can rest in peace.”

Funny because why not do this while he has still alive? I mean, why do people only realized the importance of a person when he/she is already dead? Why must conversions always come so late? Why do people always apologize to corpses? My grandfather had 8 daughters & 5 sons – he had bicker with his youngest son decades ago and since then they never talked to each other. It’s very sad my grandfather died with his heart unfulfilled.

By the way, my LOLO died because of  Myocardial Infarction or commonly called M.I., otherwise known as a heart attack. Weird because he’s never been high blood and we constantly monitors his BP. In fact, during the time he was rushed to the hospital, the nurse recorded a BP of 110/70.  Suddenly after a few minutes, he died.

This is the most “traitor” illness according to the doctor… She even mentioned that the late Fernando Poe died because of this sickness.

6 Feet under... May you rest in peace. We all love you.

Today is life – the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today.
